Are you going bike week? If so Glencoe and Buffalo Chip are a lot of fun!

Some of the smaller motels in and around Rapid City allow moochdocking during the rally.
Big Sky Lodge did a couple years ago.

Best kept secret in the Black Hills. Been years since we stayed there but it was great.

There are multiple campgrounds close to Sturgis. Glencoe, Buffalo Chip, Eagles Landing, Sturgis View, Days End, Iron Horse, Kickstand, Katmandu, and I could keep on going. Most are within a mile or two of Sturgis city limits, and a couple within 5 miles.
