Michelin RIB. Best choice of tires I ever made. Would I do it again. In a instant.

The Michelin XPS Rib is a very heavy duty commercial light truck tire with steel belts and steel sidewalls. The LTX M/S is a standard light truck or passenger tire with steel and polyester belts and polyester sidewalls. The XPS Rib costs around $40.00 more per tire than the LTX M/S.

It may be over kill from my perspective, though. My LTX M/S's have performed incredibly well in two years of back and forth from Central FL to N. MI and also for daily driving and in my case I would not see the value in spending another $160 per set of tv tires.

Unless you really need the M/S tire, you might consider the Michelin LTX A/S tire. http://www.michelinman.ca/overview/ltx-a-s/29.html

The review I read suggested that the traction in snow is as good as the M/S and the traction on wet pavement is better. Just another option to consider. I used them with good results on my old truck.

Maybe LonnieB has some professional thoughts on this.
