We'll be at the Admiral Baker RV Park from 20 Nov until 12 Dec. Anyone stayed there before? If so, how about a little advice about the place. Also looking at possibly staying at the 1000 trails in Pio Pico, anyone done this one before?????

You might want to check the TTN website as they have been saying it is temporarily closed due to the fires. Pio Pico is a good place to stay. Not too far from SD. Balboa Park is a great place to visit. You could spend several days there to see everything. They have a great tour of the aircraft carrier Midway down at the waterfront if you're interested in something like that.

Have friends that winter every year at PioPoco, they LOVE it. Have a great San Diego experience. We are at Pismo Sands, in Oceano. Enjoying a little beach before the desert!

We stayed at Silver strand state Beach on Coronado island....LOVED IT! Was there for a month earlier this year. If it is warm enough, I highly suggest renting the kayaks and doing the guided tour in La Jolla. Lots of sea lions, dolphins, tiger sharks, very very fun. Check out balboa park, also go to the fish market for the best bowl of clam chowder in the world! That in itself is quite and experience! The midway is also neat. WE love san diego!
