Camping world.??.

Just found out that camping world has bought out my dealer. I talked to the servic deparment and they said they are staying, that would be the only reason to stay with them. They say it will be a collision center and store. The parts department said the bought out all the inventory and still will have the keystone the brand and hopefully the Montana line. I guess we will just wait and see what happens, on the fence at the moment, might be looking for a new dealer in the fiture, it's sad because we bought 2 montanas there and have great service with the. And our sob's over the years

Not all are bad. We bought our 2010 and 2015 units from the same Camping World operation and have received great support from them. Absolutely no complaints on the service we have received. Had lots of issues with the 15, and they fixed/replaced everything quickly to include a new frig and MW. Maybe you will luck out there at your location with a good one.

Our CW isn't bad it's far worse than that.

CW bought out the Grain Valley, MO dealership a couple of years ago. Great prices on new units ... service quality fell off the edge of the cliff. I know 3-4 long time customers that swear never to return because of horrific experiences involving the service department. Now CW has bought out Dean's RV down in Tulsa. Dean's has sold Montanas since they started making them ... management is upbeat about this, but several in the service department are on pins and needles.

You see that across the country. Difficult for smaller dealers to compete on new unit pricing, because of sales volume.

We just turned our Montana in for warranty repairs at Myrtle Beach CW. This is the first time since we bought it last May. Nothing real big wrong but the service writer had me sign a form stating that if the tech spends time on a complaint and cannot find anything wrong, then they can bill me for the time. Anyone else encounter this? I can bet you this; I will verify all repairs before I pay them a dime.

Reminds me of an old saying... Trust but verify.

Don't know if all CW extended service contracts are the same or not. Our friends had smoke coming from their fireplace so they took it to the local CW. This is where they bought the fiver and where they purchased the warranty plan. Told them to fix the fireplace and check to make sure nothing else was wrong with other wiring. Bill was almost $1,000! The fireplace repair was mostly covered but the "check" for other stuff wasn't.

This is nothing new. We bought our rig at Lazy Days in Tampa in late 08 and that's the way they worked from day one, even under waranty. If they could not verify a problem existed, then Keystone would not pay them for time spent looking, so we had to.
