Time to call it....

Yes, time of death... Wednesday......that's the day of our PDI and pick up of our new SOB. Sorry folks but I am tired of fixing stuff and waxing and washing and my graphics still falling off and my trailer still looking terrible. I have to call it quits...besides we got a heck of a deal on a 2015 that has tons of options. It's been great and I do wish we had taken the time to get to one of the rallies. But time to say goodbye and good luck to all....Dave

We wish you the best of luck with your new rig. Unfortunately with any brand we all will face our share of problems.

Good luck with the new unit. However, that being said, as has already been said here, every brand seems to have its ups and downs, and they all have good and bad units in the bunch, and some are much better than others. Hope you don't jump from the frying pan into the fire there. Happy Trails, Steve and Susie

May the new rv be all that it should be with only minor birthing issues. Keep the sunny side up! John

Oh I reckon I will be lurking around, after all the guts of these things are all the same....if it's any consolation we just got back from putting 3500 miles on the Montana and had no problems... But on our new rig the only thing we have to have them do is move my LT tires over to the new one, everything else is there now and I don't gotta do a thing... not sure if that's a good thing or bad..sometimes I do like working on these things lol lol...

your rig was an 06, what would one expect, mint condition???? good luck with your other brand, you will run into the same problems in 9 years.

It was an 06 that was stored in a barn until I bought it 4 years ago so yes it was mint...but no I do not expect it to stay that way even with the care I give my rig. But I do not expect the rubber roof to lift off, or the tank to burst while sitting still, or the outside to look like it has leprosy and the gel coat to turn chalky even though she gets waxed, or a $50K trailer to have crappy suspension or crappy tires on such a heavy trailer, or for a Montana dealer to turn you away for service because you did not buy the trailer there, or black tank flusher that has never worked, or loose U-bolts on the springs and the list goes on and on....so no I do not expect to have the same problems after doing the research on this new rig that I should have done with Montana's. Yes all RV's have their share of problems but if you read the problems on MOC that people have, there are just too many problems that too many people have had, that Keystone has not addressed

Well, I wonder if the admins would allow you to post a new sig picture with the SOB and whatever TV you use.

I know other non-SOBers have stuck around and like you've mentioned the guts are probably the same so your posts will still seem like you've still got a Monty (until we notice your sig picture with an SOB, if it's allowed).

So far the only problems I have run into are dealer caused....the service department at my dealer leaves a little to be desired. First they installed one of the vent covers backwards...yeah it was a hood scoop..???????? Then we found the living area TV was installed with only 3 lugs to hold it to the wall mount??? Found that the bolt in the TV that the lug should screw into was not there??? But the crew at the dealer installed the TV that way...why? I don't know... Other then that it has been smooth sailing so far.....
