Arizona State Parks hire homeless veterans

Good news out of Arizona. Arizona State Parks has begun a pilot program of hiring homeless veterans to assist in maintaining the areas around and in their state park system. Paid $12/hr and given a trailer to live in they can work up to 1500 hours per year. (9 months @ 40 hrs/wk.) Hopefully they will be able to get back on track during that time. Maybe other states will follow their lead. Time for us to give something back to those that protect us..... Read this on another forum but thought it was well worth sharing. Tim

It really does seem to be a park system that has it's act together. Worked for them last year. Glad their taking the lead again on something that should have been done years ago.
