Are you smarter than a Chinese 2nd Grader?

I don't know whether this is actually a 2nd Grade test in China but it's still an interesting challenge. I figured it out but I cheated. In a couple of days or so I'll post the solution.

Here is a little 'test' that is (supposedly) part of a second grade
Computer class in China. Some figure it out right away. Others report having to work on it for a week (or more) to solve it.

Click on the test below:

Less than two minutes but had to try twice. Once I made the right move onceit was obvious from then on.

I took me a few tries, but if this is a Chinese test, why is the test text in spanish?

Hey MacDR50 - is that Gaelic in your signature? If so, are you fluent?

Less than 2 minutes. Once you recognize the pattern, it becomes obvious. It's a great mental exercise.

I couldn't figure out how to cheat this. That is the trick I'd like to see. Steve (Reigel), take your time on posting the answer (and how you cheated). I'd like to hear from some who gave up on it.

This is a "logic" problem. That's why it makes a good computer aptitude test.

Same as John. Took a few tries. My other half had no problem on the first try. That is why she keeps me around. I don't think I am much of a challenge for her.

The first time I saw this, several months ago I tried several times to no avail.

This time I did it on the second try. Go figure.

I don't have the slightest clue how I did it, but I did. Now I'm going to try and do it again. That is going to be a mistake.

The trick is remembering how you did it. Then trying to repeat it over and over again. I finally got to that point. It's great having too much time on your hands.

I did it. On the sixth try in under 2 minutes. I'll try again to-morrow and see how many time it takes.

Steve: you must be a good cheater, EH!
