Fridge won't run on propane.

Hopefully, someone can give me some direction. When walking by the camper one morning, I heard a clicking sound coming from inside the camper. I went in to check it out and concluded that the thunderstorm during the night caused some electrical issues. I unplugged the shore power and disconnected the battery. Hooked it up again and the clicking sound was gone. A few days later when getting ready to leave on a trip, the fridge would not start with propane. Sounds quiet, like the ignitor(?) is not working. It does work on electricity. What should I be looking for and where? Thanks for your help.

Hearing a click is a good thing. That means the control board is telling the burner to ignite. Couple of things you can check. When it is clicking look towards the burner and see if you see a spark. Insure you have propane in the bottles and that it is on. Lighting a burner on the stove is the easiest way to check. Not only verifies you have propane in the tank but also helps to bleed air out of the lines. Check the burner on the fridge. Often times they just get rusty and need a little cleaning up. I've had luck wire brushing them without pulling the burner out. Another issue could be a spider web in the orifice. Easy to clean with a fine wire.

Yep - to jimcol
1. check for gas; if gas
2. check for spark - you will probably have to remove the 4 maybe 5 screws that hold on the cover. No spark? take some emery cloth and clean up the ignitor. Make sure it's 3/16" to the metal.
3. you might see (before the check light comes on) if you can light the flame with a lighter. That's how I found my problem with the igniter.
