Very A-Peeling Door!

Bathroom door's veneer both inside and outside edges is peeling?

Any fixes that look good?

I have the same thing on my door, its not real wood, so i used a little white glue and stuck it back down and the put clear laminate like stick on shelf liner on the corners.

First door knob/handle I've seen like that in a Monty. Our 2018.5 3791RD has standard knobs.

Maybe we could grab some on the factory tour in SEPT.

Peeling veneer - I mean peeling paper

It happened on my bedroom door. I used contact cement. Stuck it back down.

It doesn’t have the quality of my Bluebird Wanderlodge! But then it was a 1987 and cost $465,000 then! All steel and 13 ply wood and not a bit of press-wood or particle board. 38,000 lbs empty. It was the Marathon coach of it’s day! Sigh.....🤢

I would like to retract my comment made in jest - this might be misunderstood and should never have been made. Maybe at best Montana could advise if there is a source where these door handles could be purchased by the public.

Thank you all for accepting my apology.

Got me worried about the place we have our coffee pot, was directly under one of the cabinets. Moved under the microwave, also considered the island.

My apologizes for not seeing all the suggestions, Thank You for those: we were moving storage again. By the by, I found these knobs back in 2011. (buyhampton.com). We had a knob that liked to grab our butts as we walked by, thus the knobs. There are so many advantages, we like them and immediately changed them out in our Monty.

Warning, working on the door to get them to fit must happen.

You have to gouge out the jam plate and recess it, the shaft has to be bored out to 1 inch and working with those paper doors, I had to be careful. It's not a speed project.

They came out OK. My old Everest had better doors I must say. The handles work on both sides of the door, push to go thru the door and pull to enter. Never use the locks now included in the purchase. Never knew or saw them on Home Depot or Amazon, just went thru their website.

Thanks

Experienced the same problem with my 2019 3811MS. I have it at the dealer and all 3 doors are being replaced under warranty. I really expected better quality out of a Montana. Sorry the pictures are at 90 degrees to what they should be....not as tech savvy as some.

My other Keystone toy hauler I had the same problem. I went and pulled off the door. Went to a cabinet shop and got cabinet veneer that they use for refacing and there glue. Looks like a new door...

I think I would be able to do that!
Thanks for the suggestion.
Really disappointed this is happening after less than a year ownership though...
Bought brand new.

I have the same 5er as you and have the same problem. I took it in under warranty after putting blue painters tape at each place that had pealing. After 3 months I got it back “finished “ LOL , several pieces of tape still on. Now a year later my door looks like your pictures. Out of warranty so will have to figure out myself. I’m very disappointed in Keystone quality.
I do like the idea of getting better quality veneer and just recovering the whole door.
On the bright side we do like the floor plan
