Beautiful Southern Utah!
The trip to Mesquite form St. george was awesome. In it's own way, as good as Zion National Park.

So far, haven't lost my shirt here in Mesquite...

If you have the time, see Bryce Canyon as well. If you drive the park yourself instead of the shuttle buses, you can see it all in 4-5 hours.

Just drove that route Jim. What a beautiful country we live in. Thats a pretty steep grade right there to. The view was unreal, to bad I was driving.......lol
Good luck in Mesquite, and most of all have fun.
Thought you had went to Vegas, just haven't made it yet?

Thanks guys, it is great living on the road, we love it. I wish we could sell the house from here, and just keep on keeping on...
Dave, we are dragging our heels here in Mesquite, the sites are $19.00 a night, got Sue's bike wheel fixed, and the Super Duty is going in for $600.00 worth of service, changing all the oil in everything and some minor other stuff. I feel back to normal...whatever that was... I'm throwing my bicycle in the back and will tour the city by the Ford dealership.
Livin large!

Jim my truck is going in here pretty quick for the same thing. Time for all the fluids and filters to be changed and thinking possibly a u-joint in the drive shaft. My hearing is not good but wifes ear is great and she says she's hearing a high pitched sound when we come to a stop or take off. Bird chirping sound which could definitely be that or maybe a brake noise maker telling me something. Don't think its that as I just changed them 25,000 miles ago. But then again 15,000 miles was haling the fiver, so its possible.
Have fun on your trip. Are you planning on straying out for the winter or going back to the stick house soon?

Dave, good luck on the repairs and service. I, like you, can't hear the quiet slurs and remarks people say behind my back...or a few inches from my ears.. squeaks, and high pitched screams from the pedestrians I try not to run over.
Sue has to tell me of any noises the truck makes, (where would we be without our co-pilots?)
We plan on trying So. Cal., Tucson, Phoenix, or somewhere like that. No where near the Mexico border, too may bullets in the air for this cowboy.

Ozz, I liked the photos! I couldn’t help but notice the sign about the strong crosswinds; did you notice anything abnormal when going through that area?

Bill-N-Donna, I did not, was white-knuckled just in case. I remember leaving Albuquerque, we saw the wind signs and WIND SOCKS! I thought a highway with wind socks can't be good...it wasn't, whipped the awning right off the side of our Sprinter T.T., I was on the roof cutting it off with my Spyderco and Sue was hanging onto it, about blew her off into the desert!

I second that. Keep telling us about your travels. We look forward to hearing about where you are going. Keep those cards and letters coming.
