A/C filters

Has anyone replaced / upgraded the flimsy filter material in the a/c returns? If so, what did you use and your experience.

We use filter vents from Home Depot. Easy to cut to size and washable.

We use replacement window AC filters from Walmart or Amazon. Cut them to fit, wash them every two weeks and they last for years.

Guess that makes it unanimous, get the washable version. We wash ours every spring.

Same here. I ordered these from Amazon so I have an extra set when I wash them. Typically after about 2 weeks of use. They're really cheap. Just cut to fit.
