We are Rich and helen from North Ridgeville, Ohio. Been RV'ers for many years.I am retired she is close.Have a 32 Terry now with a 1/2 ton Chevy but just ordered a F-350SD Ford with all the goodies .Have toured the Montana Plant and will buy one soon Have not decided which one yet helen likes the 3295 I like the 3650..She goes for the 3295 Floor plan. The new truck has a tow rating of 16,100.00 so makes no difference.

Hi Rich and Helen, welcome to the MOC! Both of those models are super. We have the 3295RK and love it. The 3650RK was not yet available when we bought our 3295. I can see that would be a difficult decision.

I gather from the tow rating you ordered either the PSD or the V10. Either way, you're going to love the way your new truck tows these heavy Montanas. Excellent choice.

Please keep us posted as you make your decisions, as arrival day comes, etc. And never hesitate to ask any questions you might have. There are NO dumb questions here.

You might also check out about our upcoming 2nd International Rally, to be near Reno, NV, in early October this year. Also, several folks are putting together regional rallies so check those out, too. We have made numerous good friends on this club and have met a lot of them in person.

Welcome, Rich and Helen. Your definitely on the right track. Can't go wrong with either model....as long as it's a Montana.

I like that "many years" thing. It sounds like you have tons of valuable insight to share with the rest of us. Looking forward to your input on all our problem solving episodes. In the meantime, maybe we can help on a few of the idiosyncrasies of these Montanas. My signature betrays the fact I like your choice of trucks. Welcome to the Monty family. With that new rig, retirement and discressionary time on your hands, have a great adventure.

Rich & Helen, Welcome to the MOC forum. Tough decision. We have the 3295RK and love it, but have now been tempted by the new 3650. Our unit is a little less than 2 years old and we have had no major problems. We have been very impressed with Keystone's Montana division and the customer service and caring they show to the final comnsumer. So as long as you choose a Montana, you can't go wrong. Keep us posted on your finaol decision. Hopefully our paths will cross...somewhere down the road.

We decided on the 6.8L Dually with the 4:30 Differential. The PSD is the better motor IN THE LONG RUN. We are buying a 5 year 100,000 mile or so truck. The gas motor can handle that. We will not be using the motor for the things the PSD is really good at.Lots of miles and lots of steep grades. If you do the Montana factory tour you will know why the Montana is the best built RV in its price range. You name the Rv in that price range and we have been to the factory to see it built. The advantage of living in Northern Ohio about 3 or four hours away from just about EVERY RV factory.(a factory tour makes a great camping trip. We are members of FCRV any other members out there.

Welcome to the Moc. Is North Ridgeville around the Cleveland area. We are having a regional camp out in Sept. at plamor campground in Bremen In. It is the 8th through the 11th. Check out the great lakes region. More info will be coming. Again either of those models will be great. We have a 3295 and just love it.
Missed the last part of your post. We are members of FCRV here in Indiana. Send an email and we can talk more about that. A great Family org. Field Directors, Northern Reps. and State Photographer. That's enough.

Welcome to MOC! Good luck deciding on that new Montana - exciting to be getting a new one! We'll be traveling through Northern Indiana this summer and want to see if we can tour the Keystone factory. Our Montana is "previously enjoyed" and we really don't know what all we have as far as options at the time and what we don't have, so we are hoping they can fill us in. Keep us posted on your progress.

Virgil and Karen, call the Keystone factory. They do Montana tours twice per week on a regular schedule, or used to anyhow. The tours are in the afternoon and are very interesting. We've done the tour twice now.

sreigle and richfaa, thanks for the information on the Keystone factory tours. As time for the trip approaches and our itinerary firms up I will contact Keystone so that we can do one of the tours. By that time also we should have enough traveling done in the Montana so that if we have any problems/questions, we can ask while at Keystone.
