Need Campground

We are having trouble finding a campground on I-80 West of DesMoine IA, between the junction of I-80 and route 29.

Thank you

I am not aware of anything in the area. Last resort you may want to consider a "Wal-mart" overnighter.

If you can make it to Council Bluffs Iowa there is a place called Bluffs Run Casino RV Park with 115 pads. How far are you going on I-80? After that is Lincoln with a park at exit 401A, it is a Good Sam park. There is lots in between there, we live in Nebr. If you need help we will try. Happy Camping Larry & LaVonne

Bryan and Judy,
I have spent the night in the rest area on the I-680 bypass if you do not want to go into Council Bluffs and Omaha. That by pass is great for cutting over to I-29 if heading north into South Dakota. I make the run from Spokane, Wa to Chicago, Il at least twice a year. From Spokane I run I-90 all the way to Sioux Falls, SD- take I-29 south to the I-680 bypass and grab I-80 all the way into Chicago. Some really pretty country out there on that route. Best of luck in your trip plans. I

If you are a Passport America member:

http://www.passportamerica.com/cgdet...1644&zip=51521 at Avoca, IA. Regular price is $20-22. PA is $10-11

http://www.passportamerica.com/cgdet...1969&zip=50111 at Grimes, IA, a couple miles N of Des Moines. reg price 27.50. PA is 13.75

I haven't checked my TL directory to see how either is rated by them. I have no clue whether these are good or bad parks.

I can't get into the Escapees site right now to check that. If you need more options, post back and I'll dig out my Escapees and Trailer Life CG directories.
