New England Advise

DW and I will be leaving Sept 15 for a six week trip to New England. Looking to first go to Maine, then Vermont and New Hampshire. Should be back in WI before snow flies and gets too cold. Any advise on campgrounds and things to see? Reservations needed? Thanks in advance.

Seacoast area of NH and Portsmouth are fun to explore, as is Newburyport, MA. We stayed at Stagecoach CG or something near Dover. Not fancy but nice folks and wooded. Acadia NP area is also good exploring. CGs are pricey there, but lots of choices. Don't pick the one by the end of the airport runway!

Take a look at this campground in Camden Maine. We stayed here few years ago and they have a dynamite lobster feed on Saturday nights on their patio overlooking the ocean. The Camden area is our second choice in Maine after the Acadia National Park area.
