Cat Ferry

We are in very early planning stages for trip next summer from Ontario to Nova Scotia through Quebec and back through Maine New Hampshire and Vermont. Has anyone experience of the "Cat Ferry" from Yarmouth N.S. to Bar Harbor Maine?

It is not cheap but it looks like fun. Any comments about access, loading and which end are Customs/Immigration would be welcome. Given the problems that Hurricane Juan caused recently we thought it would be a "neighbourly" thing to support the "down east" economy next year as our first major trip.
