thermostat installed

I received the micro air easy touch and installed it in about five minutes, very painless process. I was able to get it set up on the wifi and program a schedule in, so we're just going to have to observe for the time being to see if our problems still occur (they haven't been for several days now, so of course it's hard to tell).

So I am most likely wrong about the power shedding being the problem. These posts have led me to do a lot of testing and it’s not anything that I can find.

I can totally relate to the intermittent problems!

Enough people here have done the back and forth with Dometic enough times that it seemed like there wasn't great resolution provided, plus the Micro Air is so much nicer I can't complain about it.

I have a 2020 3855BR with two vented Dometic AC units, one over the bedroom, and one with a heat pump option over the living area (Not sure exactly what models they are). I have noticed sporadically over the past few nights here in SC that with the bedroom unit set at 70, it will run normally cycling on and off until late at night (after midnight), at which point I will wake up uncomfortably warm. The temps and humidity have been pretty high (90s during the day and 70s at night, 60-80% humidity). The thermostat is still set at 70, but when I check the actual temp, it's usually closer to 75 or 78. Turning the t-stat off for a minute and back on will make the system kick back in. This seems to ONLY happen at night to the bedroom AC. During the day I keep the AC in the bedroom at 77-80, and it always turns back on when the room hits the appropriate temperature. Looking for any recommendations on how to keep from waking up at night to cycle the unit. Thanks!
Welcome to the club.

Hey there! I found it online at https://www.microair.net/products/ea...32199143555156, it was pretty easy to install. I don't see anything like it on Camping World's site. Since the install, I've not had any problems.

As far as I have found, you can only get the MicroAir from their web site.

Done!

Put mine in yesterday. 2019 MHC with trash Dometic thermostat. Wiring wasn’t exactly as per instruction pictures but was figured out without too much effort. App install and software update were quick. Put it through all its paces and it worked flawlessly. Make sure you order the right one— I needed the one-zone 351 instead of the 350 multizone recommended in this thread. There is a link on the MicroAir web site to help you choose the right one. Here’s a picture of my wiring before. Just remember green is normally ground on both old and new thermostats and you can figure the rest out.

I purchased mine direct from Hutch mountain in Utah. Did a google search and they have them for 239.00. They shipped them fast, no issues.

I received both of mine and have them installed; very easy. Now I am having problems with one of them. Went out yesterday and the touch pad would not respond; could not turn the system on. I power cycled it and it started working fine. Went out today same thing; touch pad will not respond. The display looks normal (sleep), but cannot wake it up. The other thermostat works fine.

I'll be calling Micro Air tomorrow.

Installed one in bedroom - need to read the rest of instructions. Would like to see if there is a brightness below 1 for sleep mode. A little bright for my desire.

My instructions said there are two dim modes, one for daytime and off for nighttime. I haven't checked it yet-- going out next week.

There is. You can set it so that when it goes to sleep, the screen turns off.

I've had the same problem with my ACs. The coils were freezing up in areas with high humidity. Started running fan on high and haven't had a problem since.

Finally, after three years, confirmation of my freeze up theory.

After installing the MicroAir T-stats, saw this on both units within the first day. I did not know the MicroAir had this function. Note; temp set for 70, 76 in room and unit not running. Had to power cycle it to get it working again. I have been running the fans on auto as a test.

I have the same thing but only on the living room unit. I contacted Microair and they said the latest firmware added this change. They are looking at optionally allowing a workaround in the software. Until then, running fan on high has prevented the freeze up on mine. That was not the case with the Dometic CT thermostats. Even with fan on high, compressor wouldn't kick on.

I ran them all day today with the fans on high; no freeze ups. A solution, but not a great one; I hate listening to the fans all the time. That would be great if MicroAir could come up with something. The fix is to power cycle the unit. Maybe MicroAir could program it to wait 10 minutes after the freeze up then do a power cycle. This is still a work around for Dometic's problem. Actually I think the problem is Keystone's installation. These units are plumbed into the same ducts; when one shuts down, the other can continue to run and blow cold air into the shut down unit. That's my theory.
