Snowbiz Injured

I just found out from Susie today that Bud was involved in a serious ski accident. He was hit from behind while giving a ski lesson by another skier and suffered severe injuries including 6 ribs broken in multiple places and a collapsed lung. He is out of ICU and at home. Please keep Bud and Susie in your prayers.

Bud,
What a crappy thing to happen when you are doing all the right things. We hope you get better real soon.
Thanks to Ron for letting us know.

Thank you all for the healing thoughts and prayers! After 9 days in ICU, we are home and beginning to feel a little better. It definitely changed our spring plans to spend a month on the California coast. Right now we will wait another week or so to figure out how we'll get the rig home from Arizona to Colorado for our workkamping job. Susie may get a crash course on driving it home, although we're hopeful that by early May, I'll be able to do a little driving. She did pass the Women's Driving School at the rally...although not feeling too confident.

Just when you think it's all smooth sailing from here on out... reality check!
We hope your recovery is quick and complete. All the best.

Bud and Susie-- Glad to hear things are looking better for you. It's never easy but things will slowly improve. We have all the confidence in you, Susie, on bringing the unit back home to Colorado. You passed the test at the Driving School at the Fall Rally and we know you can handle the TV and rig on the way home. Just take it easy, don't hurry, and just be careful and all things will work out. If you don't feel confident going through cities, change your driving route to avoid them. It may take a little more time but that is OK. Bud, you take it easy and sit back and get better! Take care and hope to see you two at the Fall Rally again this year if not sooner!
