Things I learned at 2:00 A.M.

Well, one is that if you plug in 'Hospital' in the GPS, it will show you the closest one, then more choices.
Morphine is swell, but makes me itch.
I learned how to pronounce (and spell) Diverticulitis
Your appendix is not on the left side of your body, where I thought it might be coming apart.
There are some really nice people in Salt Lake City in the hospitals.
I think the female version of 'Dr House' with long Red hair is here.
Sue doesn't like driving at night.
Good to learn stuff.....

So how to you get it and can it be fixed?

I'm almost old and don't have this that I know of. I do eat a lot of very spicy foods. Will that cause this problem?

I no longer have my appendix either, which might tell me that the crap I was eating up until then could have provoked that, but I don't know. I've also passed kidney stones and that made the appendicitis seem like a mild cold. To get an idea of the pain for that, a lady once told me, she'd rather give birth than pass a stone since a baby is designed to pass as needed, where a kidney stone is NOT designed to give.

Whatever the case abdominal pain is nothing to take casually. It is a sign of so many things.

Suffered with that stuff for years, learned Cipro was my friend. Recently they took 3 feet of colon out, sweet relief. I sure don't envy you.

age has nothing to do with it. It is pockets in the colon that trap "stuff" for a better word. When it gets stuck in them it becomes very painful,so you need to watch your diet. A lot of times it's seeds, nuts, certain foods that have acids, like tomato sauce. It varies by person. About the age thing,my son has trouble with it and he is only 28, so you just never know if or when.

Well, pain is gone, but I have to take two different antibiotics for the infection. Knock me out. I have no energy, slept for 14 hrs a day ? ago. Was on clear liquids until the pain went away, not I am eating more or less normally, a better diet which I probably should have been on all along. "Eat like an Asian" the female Dr. House said.
I just sit around and listen to my stomach growl now. It is wondering what the heck is going on....
I have 20 miles of bike paths around here I want to get to, but I just can't right now. Bummer.
