Effingham, Illinois- Lakeside Cgrd
Was Beautiful.. a little snug getting around in the campground, but really nice for an in transit park off the interstate. People were really great, the price wasn't bad, and they had 50 amp, wifi, and 60 channels of cable.
Kev got his FoxNews fix.

We have one that's just under 35' Jim, and had no real probs, (other than the guy next to us towards the exit had a goodly part of his truck in the way of the road). We were in a pull through not too far behind the office. They seem to have several pull through's, but if our night was any indication, make a reservation stipulating large pull through, or get there early. We pulled in about 5 and got the LAST 50 Amp pull through that they had.
We noted that the Walmart back out toward the highway had lots of trucks and RV's parked on the lot as well.

I hear you on the reservation part. We arrived unannounced and were happy to get what we got. Next time we will surely call.

We stayed at Camp Lakewood in Effingham, is that where you mean. Fits the description, their ad. says "No rig too long". Nice people!

We wondered the same thing as OntMont. We also stayed at Camp Lakewood. It definitely sounds like the same place. Maybe they changed names? We stayed there two or three years ago but just overnight.

Steve,
I don't know how you remember that stuff, a one night stay from 2 or 3 yrs ago. I can barely remember what I had for breakfast today. LOL

I had to look at our receipt from last June...we stayed over for one night. We thought the people were very nice and helpful too!

Gonfishin ... Steve remembers these things because his "secretary" keeps a campground where-when-and-how-did-we-like-it document in her computer!

Camp Lakewood is tops. Nice facilities and very nice people. Reasonably priced too.
