Gold Finch on barbwire

Just finished this for a customer in Perry, Ga., goldfinch carved from basswood sitting on barbwire made from 14 gauge copper wire then made to look old and rusty.Wood base made from willow branch from below Blue Ridge Parkway.

Thanks for looking

I happen to love goldfinches and I think that is a great representation of one. It's a great setting for it!
Someday I may "commission" one from you.

thanks Larry & Will for the kind comments. Larry, whenever you get ready for a carving, just let me know. This campground has been good to me, just sold my 14th carving this afternoon. Thanks again

Tom,
You truly are a magician. Below is an email from a friend. I hope to keep you busy for a long, long time.
Also, maybe there are some bird lovers that will enjoy the below. When I get the DVD I will send you a copy of it. Send me a PM with your physical address.
================================
How about a DVD with about 30 thousand images?

Consider it on the way. #65532; One important thing....

use the following link to identify where a specific bird is at on the DVD... http://www.mangoverde.com/birdsound

For instance, American Goldfinch. put that into the search box. It will come back with three sites,
open the one for American goldfinch. This new site will tell you where the images are at on the DVD...
at the top of the page.... Siskins, Crossbills and Allies. Go to "S" on the DVD, scroll down to
Siskins, Crossbills and Allies, then scroll down to American Goldfinch. Much, much better than
looking thru 2000 images to find what you are looking for. Also, if one isn't that much into birding,
he will probably be familiar with just the name "Goldfinch" for the bird. Type that into the search box.
Only difference is, you get 10 results rather than three. It gives you four different species of goldfinch...
European, Lesser, Lawrence's and American. Ah, must be American!

If you have any trouble with the DVD, drop me an email or give me a call. I'm still working on the
thing as a whole, right now adding sounds to the total, as well as any new birds I happen to find.
It's getting harder and harder to find new birds.

Your friend is a magician with the dremel! Excellent work!

Semper Fi,

Chuck
================
So your work is appreciated in many circles, sir.
