Battery question

Our 2007 3400RL is now in temporary storage and will probably not be used for a few months. I have drained all the tanks and turned the battery disconnect off. I have read about the battery "sulphating" (?) if it is not used for a period of time. Should I remove the battery and leave it on a trickle charger or something? It is the OEM battery (we bought the trailer in August of 2006). How long should I expect the OEM battery to last? Thanks.

A battery typlicly loses about 1% of power a day. It is better to keep it fully charged before storage, also is it going to freeze where it is stored? A weak battery will freeze and ruin the plates inside. A deep cycle battery could las 2-5 years depending on use. the worst thing that happens to them all is when we are hooked up to shore power in constantly charges which in time will ruin the battery. But there is not much we can do about that. The best thing to do is pull the battery and invest into one of the new trickle chargers "battery Tender" that will desulfate and keep battery 100& charged, then it shuts down to maintain battery. I have used them on my cars that I store and have good luck with my batteries since I started to use it.
