New Montana owner

Just closed a deal on a 2001 3280 RL. Found it online at RVTrader.com in Gridley CA. We have a 1996 27' Wildwood that we are replacing and have been specifically looking for a Montana. They don't seem to last long on the used market. My wife Barbara and I live on a 200 acre ranch just out of Fort Jones,CA near Mount Shasta. Lots of room to park rv's if you are in the neighborhood. Barbara is still teaching school and I retired in 2000 after 31 years with the County road dept. We love the Oregon coast and usually make a couple trips over each year. Have family in Montana near Glacier park and kids live 1 to 4 hours away and we take the trailer when we visit. I am a pilot, like old cars and model trains. Barbara has two horses, spends time with grandkids and gardens when she can. We have a Bichon named Fuzzy that travels with us everywhere. Looking forward to MOC and sharing information etc.

Welcome to the MOC. We have friends that live in Ft. Jones area. They just built a new log home in the last couple of years there. There is a Montana get together scheduled for the end of May at Lake Siskayou that you may be interested in. 19 members are signed up so far. Hope to see you there.

Welcome aboard, Don and Barbara! Sounds like you found a good deal. You're right that used Montanas are hard to find and they don't stay available very long. I guess that's good for tradein values. I hope you get a chance to attend the get together in the Mt. Shasta area. That should be very enjoyable.

Welcome and congratulations on finding the rig you wanted. This is great place for new owners to get information, so, ask away.

Welcome to MOC. Glad you found a good "previously enjoyed" Montana. We were also fortunate enough to come across a very nice 2000 3255RL - used Montanas aren't that easy to find. Hope you'll enjoy the forum and share your adventures. You are in a beautiful part of the country.

Don and Barbara,
Welcome to the MOC. Thanks for taking the time to post and introduce yourselves. Know you are excited about that new Montana! May you enjoy many safe and happy miles in your new wheel estate. Tom is a retired pilot. Perhaps our roads will cross someday in our travels and the two of you can share flying stories. Be sure to keep posting and sharing your adventures with us here on the forum.

Welcome to the MOC. You are now part of a great group of people who will help you in any way they can. They are a great sorce of information. We also have a Bichon who travels with us. Tootsie and her cusion Pookie a half Bichon/Shih Tzu cross love to go camping. They go nuts when ever we start doing anything with the Montana.

Good Luck and SEMPER FI
