Scare Light Dimensions

My street side scare light is starting to rust on the bottom and a replacement frame is needed. What is the diameter of the scare light? I'm thinking it is 8.5 inches in diameter, but the rig is parked on a site near the coast and I'm not there. Plan to order one and take it down to the coast when we go on the 22d. Thanks ahead of time. Tim

I replaced my (passengers)curb side scare light with a motion sensor scare light. It was a direct replacement an it works great. They also make one for the porch light which I also replaced. Did not do the street side light yet.
Here's a link for the scare light: http://www.amazon.com/Starlights-SL-.../dp/B002YIK5KQ

The lights are 8.5 inches in diameter. Had to pull both of mine down, sand rust away, and repaint them. Then I used plumbers putty for the lens seal and put closed cell foam backer rod in the screw holes to keep water out. I found that the metal on these was very thin to start with and the rust made it worse. Expect to replace both with something of better quality some day. John
