I had the same problem with mail forwarding by USPS. Only way I got it taken care of is to get a mail forwarding service and let them handle my mail. I just either call or drop them an email stating where I am at and they send it to me. Cost a little, but at least its all there and not getting lost. My VA meds go to my mail forward service and then they send them to me. Even my refrigerated meds are taken care of by my service. Happy with Alternative Resources out of Sioux Falls SD.

We have our mail forwarded during the summer. Only the first class mail comes through. They keep the junk mail. We call the pharmacutical company for a change of address when we order while we are up there (our perscriptions are for 3 months at a time). When we come home we have to change it again. Sometimes they get it mixed up so you have to make sure each time you order that they have the right address. They will not forward your charge card info for the month. Safety reasons. This is a good reason to take care of this on your computer and know when it is due. IF you are going to be away at election time, make sure those people know where to send your ballot or you won't be able to vote.
Have a Good Day

I know this is a little off subject but just to show how fantastic the USPS is I got a letter addressed to:
Harrells Precision
5756 Hickory DR
?????? FL 33???
Sorry I can't remember the town or complete zip code.
The problem, I live in Salem Va 24153
It took 3 days from the time it was post marked until I got the letter.
My friends at our post office smiled and shook their heads, they had no idea either. Their only explanation was somebody at that post office must have known us and routed it to us.

mike, i just let the VA know where to send my meds, they will change the address without a hassel...when you return do the same.
we also use a mail service out of south dakota...works well if you are gone for a long time.

bottom line is to talk to the USPS manager at the office if you feel it is their fault.

good luck
