CARGO DOOR Adjustment ?

HELP! One of my cargo doors is quite loose at the hinge side and droops somewhat because of the play. As a result, the door hits the frame and doesn't close properly until I lift up on the bottom of the door.

How is the hinge attached? Ours are riveted. If riveted, just drill out the rivets and replace.

I am not sure I can explain clearly but here is what I did. In my case it seemed as if the hinge had spread loose a little bit around the pin. So I just took a vise grips and squeezed the hinges tigher around the pin. Took care of the sag.

Also if you look at the bottom of the hinge there is a ribet in it that holds a plastic plug the top of the plug wears over time. I removed the ribet pushed the plug a little farther up and redrilled the hole replaced the ribet. just pickup the door to where you want it to set and push the plug till it touches the door. You can even get the white ribets from the hydw. I have done all of mine.

Hillarys BBQ sells riblets also. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. Bobby's particularly sounds like a good fix. What's a hydw? Would ACE carry the ribet maybe? Isn't a ribet the noise that a frog makes?

Ron I thought it was to cold for frogs in Canada LOL. I was talking about a hardware but a little redneckeze came out sorry. But if you look there is a little white plug top and bottom mine over time got worn down but they are about 1" tall so there was room to move it up. To me that was the best fix and I am all about easy.

Thanks Bobby! And yes, it is cold up in Canada which is why I'm spending the winter in southern california!
