Time for another try.

Its been two years since our last post. We had our stick house on the market for almost two years and almost no lookers so we decided to sit out the bad housing market. The realtor has conviced us that the incentives to new home buyers makes it worth the try again. When we last checked out Montanas we had our sights set on the 3400RL or the Big Sky equivalant. Now we have to recheck the available models to see if we might want to change direction.

During our last posts we had a countdown to retirement calendar running. Now we have both been retired for a little more than a year. Life has taken an unanticipated but enjoyable turn for us. We attended a Civil War reenactment a while back and I got hooked on the adventure of riding with the cavalry. I hadn't been on a horse in over 30 years. I bought one and have been riding with the 6th Ohio Cavalry for almost two years now. Bonnie isn't quite that adventursome, but she does follow our events and does a Civil War civilian impression.

We have gotten a taste of life on the road with our new adventure. We have a horse trailer with living quarters. Although it would not be practical to use as anything full time, it has given us an opportunity to assess whether full timing is really what we want to do. The good news is that Bonnie is now eager to hit the road. She feels comfortable in the horse trailer, small as it is and wants to live full time in the Montana.

The current plan is to keep the horse trailer for use with horse related events and use the Montana for all else. Right now we have a lot of catching up to do.

Welcome back and congratulations on your enjoyable adventures. As Sailer said, I hope you are successful in selling the house this time. Keep us posted.

If at first you don't succeed....... Hope things go through this time. Full timing is great if you are cut out for it. We fulltime in the Big Sky 340 RLQ and find it a great unit for us. Every year new stuff comes out, so you just have to buy and go with the model you have and not worry about missing something. Great to be looking at what you have rather than what you don't have. Gratitude make one happy. Happy RVing.......

Good luck on selling your house this time around. We just sold ours after being on the market since October. The buyers took advantage of the first time home buyer's credit, which is supposed to expire in November. Maybe that will help move yours, too! Again...good luck and enjoy that rig when you get it!

Thanks for the kind words. The first time home buyers credit is what convinced us to try again. The realtor says that it is bringing alot of young folks into the market that otherwise couldn't afford a home. We gave the realtor an incentive to for a quick sell by only agreeing to a three month contract. We'll see how it goes before we agree to any extension. Now we get to shop all over again for the perfect rig. Stiles, we settled on the 340RLQ on our first go round. We are still leaning in that direction but we gotta check out everything first. You know, kinda like the kids in a candy store.
