washer/dryer

Planning on fulltiming if the house ever sells. Picking up the 06 3400RL tomorrow. The DW wants a washer dryer. 1st thought a stacked set would be nice but now wants a combo so she can have the extra storage for linens. Do the vented work any better than the ventless and is the Splendide and better than LG or any other brand

We can only comment on the Splendide - but they build great machines for the RV. High tech wash cycles using low water (about 7 gal) and 1200rpm spin really dries the cloths before you have to actually run the dryer. The dryer is handicapped at 110VAC and takes quite a while to do the job.

Splendide's web page provides some pretty good insight as to why they are suited for RV and Marine.

By the way - Welcome to the Forum!

jrhaman, We have had the Splendide Combo 2100 vented. Delaine used the Combo in two different 5th wheels. And it did a good job, but she wanted the ability to wash and dry at the same time. So we went to the Splendide Ariston like bsmeaton has. I highly recomend the Stackable, even thought you will lose some of your storage. But also keep in mind the more storage the more thing you are towing around. We have really removed most of those things, and you wouldn't believe how much stuff your hauling around that you don't need. But if you go with the combo make sure you get the vented type. Good Luck with your choice..... GBY......

We prefer the Spendide 2100 combo to have the extra storage above the unit...the vented is better than the ventless.

Dreamers, those of us with the stack have refrained from replying in this thread because the question asked was about the combos. If you'd like to have a discussion on the pros and cons of stack and combo, you could start another thread by clicking on the New Topic link above this thread.

I have the non vented. LOve it. Clothes do take longer to dry; but come out nice and "humid". I spread them out on the bed and they are completely wrinkle free. Put them away in about 10 minutes.
