Fulltime starts tomorrow 09:00 9-15-05...

After 23 1/2 months of planning, retiring, selling the house, downsizing, seeing the DD graduate from college, selecting a 5er, learning how to pull and operate it on shakedown cruises, settling the myriad of car, RV, and health insurance details, we are finally ready to turn in our apartment keys and get underway.

Hope to meet you on the road, and in the Rio Grand Valley this winter.

jpf,
Congrats on this great milestone in your life. I wish you both the best of luck and all the happiness the rest of the fulltimers are having on the highways. Keep us posted on how things go for you. Enjoy!

Congratulations!!!

We've been on the road since July '03, and still enjoy all the aspects of it. Great liberating experience to divest oneself of all the "stuff"!!

The learning curve of going "full time" has not leveled off...decreased somewhat, but certainly not leveled off. Every day is a new opportunity to learn, either about the rig, the fine folks who travel as we do, of the wonders of this beautiful Country we live in. It is a great experience, as I'm sure you will come to agree soon.

Again, Welcome!

Congratulations!!!! What a great day this must be for the two of you. We have met so many great people while on the road! We don't full-time yet..... but I am working on hubby, telling him how much we could save in taxes, work and so on.... we have been retired now for 4 years and travel lots, but still have the stick house, (did get rid of the big one and this one is only 1200sq ft, so I am making headway)Told him we could keep the hunting cabin in northern MI, and spend warm weather there and of course hunting season! Where are you going first?

Welcome Jerry & Karen to the wonderful world of fulltiming. Of all the many things Lorraine and I have undertaken in our lives fulltiming ranks at the top.

And remember when some asks you where home is just tell that "Home is where you park it". Yeah, you used to call Calif home put no more from today on it's the campground you are sitting in. This motning our home is Pla-Mor Campground and tonight it will be the State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.

Congradulations Jerry and Karen. What a great day. I remember it well. We hope you enjoy your new lifestyle as much as we do. Are you coming to the Reno Rally?

Congratulations Jerry and Karen. If you're like most folks who do the full time thing you're going to love it! We do a "long time" on the road but I can't get Mary Kay to go full time. But I keep working on it. Enjoy.

Since you're in northern CA are you coming to the Reno Rally Oct. 5 thru 11?

PJ,
Have you and Nancy thought any more about coming up for the Rally? With Nancy being back to w**k (expletive deleted) it might be more difficult to get away. I hope all is going well.

Thanks for the kind words. We're heading just a little north (3 hours) to Red Bluff Ca. to a small park near the kids and grandson to spend a week. Then a pull into Pahrump, Nv for a month, nice resort park with a casino, etc and will celebrate our 25th. After that a slow pull toward the Rio Grand.
Won't be able to make this years rally as we had other reservations already.

Sorry you can't make the Rally but sounds like you have things well under control. Know all about enjoying the grandkids! Enjoy and happy 25th.

See you next time.

Hurray for you!! I remember the feeling of leaving the "old life" and starting the new fulltimer life. It was very exciting then and still is. We started out from the Bay Area and became South Dakotans like you. We'll be in the Rio Grande Valley this winter, too. Hope to meet you then.

Congratulations, Jerry and Karen! You have more guts than we do! We keep dreaming of the day .... Right now we are busy moving from Rio Vista to Petaluma and are consumed with boxes! We hope to get back out on the road in about a month but no exact plans yet. Keep us posted as to your travels and experiences fulltimin' and good luck.

Congratulations, Jerry & Karen. Cheryl and I are moving forward with our FT plans. We are moving to a small apartment next week... had a great "estate sale" this weekend... selling our two vehicles (Park Ave & Blazer) and buying a 3/4 ton diesel tv in Nov, then buying our Monty in May. Cheryl is working next summer... promised her boss, then we will be both retired and FT by this time next year. We are really excited, so I know how you must feel!

By the way, sent you a PM.
