Paul and Sue, we would love to stop and visit with you folks if we can work this out.
We leave Island Park on 9/15. We will go to the Minden, NV, area for the rally but are planning to spend some time in Nevada prior to arriving at Minden. We have some tentative plans in place, waiting for confirmations. But I think we still can work out a stop at Twin Falls.
Our planned route is US 20 south to Idaho Falls, I-15 to Pocatella, I-86/84 to Twin Falls, then US 93 south to I-80 with a first nights stay in Wells, NV and the second night at Fernley, NV. We are tentatively planning to spend some time in the Fernley area. This plan means our first two days, 9/15 and 9/16, are far longer than our preferred 200-250 miles. The first day is 378 miles and the second is 305. But, given much of it is interstate, we can do that.
I think we could stop the first night (9/15) at Twin Falls. That's about a 250-mile day, more to our liking. The second day would be a bit longer at 433 miles but we've done twice that when we had to and so long as we get an early start we'll be just fine.
