Marsha and I looked at the 2950 quite closely before finding a “steal” on a used 3295RK. Your selection of Montana and TV with the Ford are good selections!

You are spot on about experience being a great teacher. Just returning from 10 days in our unit taught me an awful lot about it, but fortunately I have the good folks on this board to help me with any questions!

We have been on the road for a week now. WE have encountered snow at one park and now are running the AC in Mesa, AZ. I have had to repair a few things but nothing major. Having a great time.

That's good to hear, Dewey & Addalee. Where are you staying in Mesa and where to next?

Steve,
I didn't have access to the Internet most of the time while we were out. I used a relatives computer in Mesa. We stayed at the Good Life there. We went to Los Cruses, Carlsbad and Santa Fe after that. The greatest problem we had was the doors above the TV weren't installed properly. One came open between stops and wore a hole in out slide rubber roof. The screen door wouldn't catch. I had to take the striker plate off, drill new holes to reinstall it. It took me a few hours to determine why the TV wouldn't operate very plainly. One of the coax crimps was not good on one of the cables in the wall for the bedroom TV. It was a good first trip.

Sounds like you had a great excursion. Sorry to hear about the problems, but good that you were able to fix them with no major damage. We hope to make a trip out west next year, but obligated to stay on the east coast this year due to family situation. Enjoy hearing about your adventures.
