Bob, Any solution will be labor intensive. I had to use fingernail polish remover or rubbing alcohol on EACH spot, then wash with good soapy solution. Be carful on the awning, these products can rub the color off if used too hard....

We were just talking to some people at the Spring Rally about our stay in Gatlinburg TN. Our rig looked like a cheeta after we left. I had just waxed it before our trip so I knew the spots were from the trees at that campground. I used Awesome full strength and the Mr. Eraser pads to get it off. It took forever and lots of patience to remove the spots to avoid damaging the siding.

I am not sure of what type of trees they were, but the damage was done by the sap from the leaves.

Good Luck

Colleen

Here on the East Coast we get sap from pine trees. What I use on my truck finish is gasline anti-frezze (Methal Hydrate). Use a dab on a cloth and target each spot.
Not sure how it will work on the rubber roof as I have not tried it in that area.

My "go to" cleaner is laquer thinner. I wouldn't use it on the roof or near the decals though.
