Question on GM Brake Controller

Anyone using the new GM Integrated Brake Controller with a 3400? If so, what did you set the gain at? I read tha manual and it says to set it when traveling 20 mph. However, I need to get my unit out of storage which means pulling out of a farmyard onto a highway. Not much chance to play around. I'm looking for a good starting point. Thanks in advance.

We also set ours at 6.5. Seems to be fine. The trailer can be felt to grab just before the truck brakes set.

Was running at 5.5 and it felt like no push, but might run up to 6.0 and try it since some others are reporting a good seeting at that level. We'll see how that feels next time.

Thanks for the reply. Dealer thought about .1 gain and I knew that couldn't be right. If I understand correctly, I just keep hitting the plus button until 6.5 (or whichever reading I'm setting) until it displays 6.5. Is that correct? Unfortunately, the dealer set up my prodigy on the last truck perfectly and never had an issue.

Well, I started at 6.5 and it seemed just fine. Thanks for the assistance in getting it in the ballpark right out of the box. Appreciate the input.
