Is this legal?

Any state where this would be legal? I don't think so.

I got a kick out of this when I first saw it yesterday on FB. If you look closely it looks like a law officer walking right by the bedroom area, maybe he wants to chat with the driver about legal issues or tell him how unique his idea of moving three rigs with one driver is.

I guess that could be classified as triple towing.

This is an old picture, I believe from Canada. If I'm right, this set up didn't fly at the time.

I'm sure he said, "pulls fine, never had a problem." I've read similar comments from posters on the MOC.

I don't know where this picture was taken but one thing I can tell you is "that is not a law enforcement officer walking past the bedroom it is a jacket or some other item hanging on a post in front of the picture. Save it, enlarge it and you will see.
Who would suggest there are rednecks in Alberta of all places, wait a minute these folks reside all over both countries.

I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to try this if in fact this is actually happening. That U-Haul truck would probably overheat and couldn't climb any kind of hill. If it is REAL he should be arrested, fined and thrown in jail!

Hi

The regulations on Interstate highways is the first trailer must me a fifth wheel hitch and the second trailer can be any approved hitch and both trailer must be less than 28.5 feet long. As long as you compile with all the rest of the towing regulations this is acceptable.

There is one exception and that is an approved wrecker removing disable vehicles form the highway.

Hi

When it comes to U-Haul I have seen a lot of unintelligent things with their equipment. I changed a flat tire on a car hauler once and the driver had signs telling people to stay back because the truck had a steering problem and was uncontrollable.

I ask him if he had bags of sand in the back of the pickup on the car hauler and he said no it was loaded with slate flooring. So I told him to move as much slate as passable to the rails the truck wheels were on to get more weight on the TV.

He called me about an hour latter and told me I was some kind of genius because he was doing 70 MPH and the truck was stable.

It takes all kinds LOL

Triple Towing

I don't know the age of the picture, or whether the picture was staged. This March we were travelling south on I-15 in Montana and we saw a truck towing a 17 or 18ft fifth wheel trailer and behind the trailer was a 4 door jeep and behind the jeep was a flat bed trailer with 4 ATVs on it. I was surprised that the highway patrol would allow someone to tow that length of stuff.
