Free 411 info calls

I usually find that anything labeled "FREE" isn't, but this is an exception.

If you need to use 411 to get a phone number, there is no reason to pay the $1 or more that providers (especially cell phone service providers) now charge. Just dial 1-800-373-3411 (1-800 FREE 411) and follow the voice prompts. Of course, the "1" doesn't need to be used on most cell phones.

Could save enough over a year to buy a new cell phone! I have it programmed into my cell phone list of #s.

There is one very small ad thing only if you are searching for a specific Business phone number. No big deal, and no $ involved. Takes 12 sec of listening. Check out the Urban Legends site below for full info.

There is also a web site for the "Free 411" folks, which provides the same service. The web site also has reverse look up...type in the phone number and it shows the listing. That link can be found at the Urban Legends link above. I tried that out this PM and it works as advertised.

Happy Christmas to All!!

Thanks, Pat! $1.25 for Alltel. Daughter thought this was a free service until I showed her the bill. SHe is much more concerned when she's paying. I will definitely check this out and pass it along.
