Full Timing Location(s)

Hi Guy's the wifey and I are looking for spots to Full Time. So the reason we aren't thinking about trailer parks immediately is because we have doggos. (We want a yard)

Wondering if there's any decent resources out there that we can look into for doing long-term rentals.

Michael,

You can always start on the campground review sites and then followup with phone calls.

If you have particular areas you are interested in, I would list them as you might get help from members.

Thanks! I will have to start doing that.

As for the areas we are interested in. We like tree's but all is good to go if we can find something nice. So our limit would be anywhere in the continental US. We are currently located east coast right now if that helps Thank you for the quick reply.

We've been in several places that will "sell" you a site and you set it up like you want (own it). The up side is that since it's an RV you can take off whenever, wherever you want and they will rent the site for you while you are gone. That may or may not be an option for you but might be something to consider.

All I need is a piece of ocean front land 20 feet wide and 60 feet long. Big enough to park rig and pickup.

Ocean front in Western VA sounds tempting, but I prefer the California coast.

So does everyone else. That is why the price will be over $100k AND come with a lot of rules. The further you get from civilization the cheaper it will be. I went the other way, spent a few $10k's to upgrade batteries to 7.2kWh and 1.08kW of solar. Now I can camp for free or nearly free. In a couple of years I will switch to truck camper and camp anywhere.

In Indiana there are quite a few parks that have seasonal campers where the rig is permanently parked from mid April to Nov first. You could always head South or West when the campgrounds up North shut down for the winter..... there hey.

We have gone the seasonal RV park route.

We summer in upstate NY May through mid October (seasonal rate with metered power).

We winter on the northern California coast. (very affordable monthly rate with metered power there as well).

We thought about buying land or a "spot" but decided we like the ability to easily change up our plans if we end up not liking the area for whatever reason.

We both decided we didn't sell our house just to get tied down again.
