Sounds like a really unlevel site. Responses will say no problem. If it was my rig, I would relevel manually and try getting those tires on the ground, and putting boards under the tires if unable. On occasion I have found it necessary to put blocks under the levelers on one side in order to level.

One thing about these automatic leveling systems that does not mean it will in a really unlevel site. The system has its limits you need to know them. We need to be fairly level before we do the auto level. We still use levelers to get the RV fairly level then do the auto level.

We had a sloped site and the front left jack came off the ground about 4". The camp host cut us some 2x4's and we made it work, still have them just in case.

I carry a few pieces of 2"X10" squares and will use them under the jack pads where needed to prevent the "Out of Stroke" error.

You will be fine as you are. Blocks under the low side jacks will improve the stability a tad. Putting boards/blocks under the wheels may make you feel better but really doesn't have much effect (other than to introduce suspension bounce back in the stability equation). The front jacks are rated at 12K lbs. each and the side jacks are 8K lbs. each. That is more than enough capacity to support your trailer and several more.

I'm with Carl you could put block under the tires but you would have to brake camp and start all over the jacks are more then stable to hold up your 5er.

Spent the whole winter one year in a site for voluteers that had the door side wheels a good 3-4" off the ground. No problems.

Besides it not hurting anything, the only way any of Keystone or Lippert's lawyers would know you did this would be if the Keystone Cops came along to check out your camp site

Bob jests but the Keystone Kops are out there. Finding you is a different issue.

I always put extra blocks on the low side so that i don't have my jack pistons extended to far .I carry about 15 2x10's with me and have seen times where i've used most of them just so i can get more stability. I realize i use more blocks than most but i like stability and the only way sometimes to do that is to use more blocks. The rear of the rv seems to have the most problem with stability. Agree with Carl in the fact that it want hurt anything having the wheels dangle other than you might have a pretty good jolt if the jack collapsed but that's not likely.

No problem at all. That Lippert system is very impressive.

I used to often park my 3160 in a place that when leveled, the ods tires were off the ground. I can't say for certainty but I think it caused the ds tires to become out of alignment on the inside. I aligned the wheels and no longer park it in that manner. Tires are now wearing properly.

I hav had this happen once in 4 years. I brought the levelers back up and placed level or block under on support that did not touch ground. It took 2 of them. Relieved and the supports filled the gap and it releveled just fine.

We always level the RV the old fashion way before we do the auto level and keep the jack s as low as possible. Read the manual or do some experimentation to see what the side to side level limits are.

Just had my 2012 3150RL retrofitted by Lippert to add 4-point hydraulic self-leveling. The learning curve was steep but fast. First, the system has limits. Side-to-side leveling is the hardest. First couple of times we used it we had wheels off the ground on the low side of the site. The hydraulic jacks are not designed to carry that much weight. Some of the weight must be on the suspension. In a worst case scenario you can get a stroke error where a hydraulic jack can not lift high enough to solve the leveling problem. Manual leveling may be an option to ovoid lifting wheels. It you still want to use self-leveling, use a bubble level to check side-to-side leveling before initiating self-leveling. If it is off, use leveling blocks under the tires on the low side to get in the ball park. Then, self-leveling will work perfectly.

Is there a difference is the lifting ability between a 4 point and a 6 point system? I would think 6 rams could lift more weight than 4?

Just one more thing I have never had to mess arround trying to get my rig close to level for the auto level to work. Kind of counterproductive don't you think?
