Timbrens :-)
Wow, talk about a major difference! We just returned from a week "down the shore" and to get there we travel the oh so lovely PA turnpike. There is one stretch of road near the Pottstown interchange where we used to have to slow down to close to 40-45 mph to keep from bumping and chucking. Randy added timbrens to the truck over the winter - what a change! We can go the speed limit!

I added Timbrens to our new 2015 Silverado 3500HD. I had the Firestone Airbags on the previous 08 Silverado 3500HD.
The Firestone Airbags were great and I liked them.
After the first trip with the Timbrens I like the Timbrens better. There is no muss or fuss adding air and deflating. If you don't have a pump inline. Just hookup and go. The Timbrens do the job.
The Timbrens were less than half the cost of the Firestone Airbags and a snap to install. No running air lines or installing brackets. For the Chevy they just slip into the cups where the stock bumpers are.

Never had Timbrens. My Firestone Air Bags work fine for me. I inflate to 30 PSI in both and it rides great.
I agree that Timbrens would have been cheaper.

Timbrens are our next upgrade if needed...we are heading down to the Cumberland River next week (Lord willing) and camp for a week or so. It is about 170 mile trip one way, it will be the first trip with our truck since I added a spring on each side. So far the added springs seem to be sufficient. I will let you all know how we did when we get back home.

I replaced my failed Firestone bags with Tembrens and am very happy with them.

When loaded, my truck is sitting on the overloads on my 2007 3500. Priced the Firestone air bags and I think they were around $350. Don't know if the Timbrens would raise me up enough or not. Feel like I am bottoming out when I hit a big dip in highway.

Timbrens will not raise you up like the Firestone Airbags can do. But they will keep you from bottoming out in most cases. If your overloads want to slap it may stop that also. They are really a larger bumper than the original bumper. They are designed to flex under a load which takes weight off the springs and can smooth out the ride. With no load they do not even touch the axle pad. As the truck lowers under weight they engage the axle pad. Joe

No air bags needed here, the Montana only drops the back 3/4 inch. Big trucks rule.

I'll bet your ride is better and can turn tighter then my long wheel base extended cab 3500 Chevy can.You can definitely pull anything out there.
