Morryde RS

Does anyone have the Morryde RS "the airless suspension" on their vehicle. I'm interested in it and would like to hear from someone who has it. Thanks

I have MorRyde IS, but it has shocks so I don't think it's what your talking about.

No DQ this is a rubber deal that fits on your truck. As best as I can tell from the picture, it attaches to your truck where the rear of the rear spring does. Then the spring attaches to the rubber to make the truck ride better. http://www.morryde.com/uploads/produ...20Brochure.pdf

Sorry, that's a new one to me. Sounds interesting, hope someone has experience.

There was a member (has a SOB now) that had this system on a 3500 Chevy. I think it was the same, I know it was a MorRyde system. Don't think he ever kept a vehicle long enough to give it a good workout. Would also ask myself this "why haven't we heard a lot about this"

(why haven't we heard a lot about this) If it was bad we would have heard about it I think. Maybe it's kinda new, but it is something I would like to get some info on it..

Well, i'll answer my own question. Went to Elkhart to get the IS suspension installed on the Monty, and I figured while I was there, I might as well take the plunge and do the RS also.( No sense being the richest man in the graveyard) My "test" drive was the trip home to Eastern Ok. but I feel the system does what it is supposed to do, which is to isolate the vibration of the road from my butt. I was told I would notice this more when the trailer was hooked up, than when the truck was empty. It definitely gave a better ride with the trailer hooked up and a somewhat better ride without the trailer. If I air my rear tires to the max the ride is not normally pleasant. (2012 F350 DRw) So that's what I know if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the info, next year when I'm up there I'll be looking into that.

The disadvantage to this over air bags that I see is it doesn't help level the truck/trailer like the bags do.

DD I'm interested in the RS Suspension System also. Now that you've had it on your F350 DRW, how do you like it?

I have a Dodge 3500 DRW that likes to jounce. I'm looking at this to help solve the problem. Shocks will probably be changed at the same time.

It sounds like an interesting concept. I will be interested in seeing what's discussed between these and air bags in future posts. I'd go for anything that would prevent the bouncing on concrete roads (especially in VA).

Rick, if you still have the OEM shocks on your Ford, I'd consider replacing them with Bilstein's. Do the rears only at first and then later if need be, do the fronts. Fixed my 2001 F350 DRW.
