Distance between Tires??

Got to MN from AZ and backed into the kid's driveway and went to put the locks between the tires and noticed that one side went in with no problem and the other would not go between the tires.
The wheels on the left side are closer todgther then the right side, and by at lest 2" difference.
The U bolts are tight and it doesn't look like they have moved on the springs.
Any suggestions to what could be my problem??

When you backed in was the trailer straight or did you back in at an angel? I you weren't straight pull straight forward as far as you can and than back in again keeping the trailer as straight as possible. If you ever watched you trailer tires when going around a corner the axles will look totally out of alignment. This is the nature of tandem axles and is not a cause for alarm but can be the cause of not being able to get the chocks back in.

Glenn,
Thanks for the info.
I had to back into the driveway and at a sharp angle off the street and up over the dip in the driveway, the left side is the one that took the steeper angle, and that is probably why they are closer together.
In looking at it the spring hanger on that side are at more of an angle then the other side.
Thanks again

Ahhh, Glenn's the man! These dual axles can make the novice nuts as they "float"...good for smooth ride but makes one crazy when doing setup and seeing them all outta wack.
