Fantastic Fan
Our fantastic fan in the kitchen is sticking, the knob turns, but won't open, hubby went up on the roof and just tapped it and it opened ok, but the next time I tried to open it the same thing happened. It appears to be sticking around the seal. Anyone have any suggestions? Seems I remember another post on here, but got no results with the search.
Thanx!

RoamingUSA - This happened to me as well and from info from an earlier discussion of this forum, I phoned the Fantastic Fan guys and they mailed out a new seal and a tube of silicone to apply it with. They were terrific.

I changed the gasket on my old 2955RL as it was sticking with the new one they sent me. the new one stuck too. Have a new Monty now and have no experience yet on the fan.

garyka,
I emailed them, and got a response right away, they are sending me the new gasket and seal and lifter arms as soon as I send in the numbers they need. Great company to deal with!
Thanks all for the replies.

Although it sounds like your problem is solved ... a good dusting of the existing gasket with a can of spray silicone from Wally World worked for me. Do it once a year and have had no problems.
