MCD Shades

Has anyone replaced their according day/night blinds with the MCD Shades?

For 11 windows - price is aprox. $2500.installed....
boy are they nice!
Visited the factory yesterday in McKinney Texas.

Visited a friend that has them in his SOB - they really like the MCD.

This may be our Christmas, Birthday, anniversary gifts for the next couple years.
THANKS

I've seen the MCD shades installed and they are real nice. They are definitely on my want list.

We have them in our 2015 3611 and I love them. Why they didn't finish the job and put them in the bedroom and the hallway across from the bathroom I don't know. Hopefully we will be visiting the factory in about 3 years and will get the rest of the windows done.

Maybe Hobo Bob or Mina will jump in here and tell you their experience with the MCD shades. They had theirs put on last year or the year before and really like them.

Had them put in at the MCD factory mainly because the stock blinds were so difficult, behind this or that, etc. Have the 2 shade setup and it's real nice and easy. Think they charged 2 hours labor to install, well worth it! They took the valances down, installed and adjusted, even reinforced the valances as need with a couple extra screws. Makes getting to and opening the blinds a breeze.

We did last November. Love the idea of being right at the factory and have them measured and installed!

The price is very similar to waht we paid. Since then we have seen "wanna bees" that cost more and the installation as optional.

You do have to make an appointment. They had 5 sites available to spend M-F right there.

Also they gave us the option of the Made in America brand or the "other" brand

Yes we have them in our 3160 RL. LE. I really like them the wife maybe not so much. I agree with cwalker, why not put them in the bedroom and on mine also the hallway. I would also like to have a really dark bedroom. :-)

We are thinking about doing this also. Might change our travel plans and head back home through Texas and make a stop there.

Update:
Trying to make an appointment with them but the ONLY lady who does the appointments is on vacation and no one else there can do it! Really?!

Question for those who have had it done at the factory is...How long does it take them to do the conversion? We have 7 windows we want changed over.

We visited the factory last week. Visited with Joy,
You can arrive at there lot on sunday afternoon,
monday morning at 8:15am - a tech will come to your unit, go over your order/options. He will measure and place order.
Tuesday - he will begin to install the hardware -
late tuesday afternoon / firs thing wednesday he will begin the install. for 11 shades we were told to plan on project being finished thursday afternoon or by noon friday.

We called monday to schedule our appointment for november 16 - was told the same about Joy being off and someone else would call us back to schedule - Still no return call.

They have 12 sites with 30/50amp service....no water, no sew service. You can stay in your unit the whole time. free.....

Got a call back from them today and we have our appointment scheduled for next Monday, Nov. 9th. Will be leaving tomorrow for McKinney, figure it should take us about 3 or 4 days to get there.

We will complete the MCD shades early Spring 2016. As other folks said why didn't they put MCD shades in the bedroom of all places. So we need only 4 and two are for the side windows of the bed slide, can;t wait to complete the job.

Got the new shades installed yesterday. WOW, they are really nice! Wish we had done this earlier. The staff at MCD is wonderful to work with and very accommodating. Their installer (Calvin) is great and really ensures he does a good job to your satisfaction and doesn't mind demonstrating and explaining everything he does! Highly recommend this company to everyone thinking of changing out their shades!

Scott, It was good to meet you the other day in the parking lot at MCD. I hope the shades give you many years of reliable service and if you don't mind I'd like to pass on your compliments to Calvin and Mgt. They would be happy to hear your feedback. Safe travels. Tim

Hi Tim, great meeting you too. Please do pass it on, everyone there are great folks. Even had the owner, I believe his name was Dave, stop by one evening and talk with all of us waiting for our installs. Great guy too!

Still working on my better half about that second awning like you have.
