Idea on RV Travel
Saw this today: "We have a Montana, and it can sometimes be a pain to open the bottom screw-on hatchcover for the hose connection. To combat this, I have taken a small screw-on screen door handle and bolted it to the cap. Now it's a lot easier to remove or reattach the cap, especially at night." Thanks to Mark Burzinski!

I don't use the bottom one only the one inside the convenience center. The one that would be on the bottom has become a spare. LOL

I have a pair of pliers with rubber coated handles that when inverted serve as a big helper in unscrewing the round door that at times is nearly impossible to open. Funny how different people take different approaches and come up with innovative solutions!

I use fingers from each hand to fit into the two recesses...ie, left hand fingers in left recess, right hand fingers in right. A handle secured to bottom one sounds like cheating...but I may copy it. John

I put a little bit of vaseline on the treads, now it open and closes really easy.

Guess we have to look underneath. Didn't know there was a water connection under there. We use the connection in the convenience center. On the end of our water hose we have a pressure regulator and a 90 degree brass elbow, both from Wally World. To attach to the Big Sky we use a quick connect that we found in the garden hose section of Lowes. With the quick connect there is no danger of striping the threads out of the cheap plastic water connection inside the convenience center. We also placed a quick connect on the end of the outdoor shower and plugged that into the black water flush. Since we only use that shower for its intended purpose on occasion, we leave it hooked up to the flush. Just turn on the cold water when you are dumping. Works well.

Talk about a cheap fix! Sounds like a good idea.
