Total Length

My question is when a camp ground says maximum length 30 feet for their site does that include the TV? My Montana 3000RK says 35 feet then the truck for a total of 53feet. What is my legh 35 or 53 ft.

Usually they mean the rig only, but I would call and ask particularly since you're over even that.

In some campgrounds site length restrictions are also tied to the internal roads and ability to navigate inside the park.

When ever I am asked about the length of the rig, when making reservations. I always say 40feet, even though it is about 38. I have found that if you tell them actual length, they might try to put you just a smaller site. This way I know I will fit.

We RV alot at the lakes ... site length usually references the length of your fiver only. There's usually still several feet left over to stash your boat next to the fiver or park your truck sideways in front of your unit. We usually back as far onto the pad (if there is one) as we can to just get the rear stabilizers to rest on the pad.

At Chatfield State Park in Colorado their max length refers to the cement pad in the middle of their pull through sites. It took us a couple of stays to realize that even if it said 25' we could still park Monte. It also helped to ask the always friendly staff. Best to call ahead and confirm.

We always state our length and the number of slides, not that it's a guarantee when we reserve.

At one place, I had a bit of a struggle to get into a tight site, only possible because the site across the road was empty. The owner later came over and said, "You got that on that site, that's good to know, I never put a rig that size there"

I will check site length on pullthrus if I would like to stay hitched when overnighting between destinations.
