2012 F350?

Had my '07 F350 in for routine maintenance the other day and drifted out to the new truck lot to look around. Oh, my! Did they have a beautiful white (with accent paint) 2012 F350 King Ranch SRW long bed FX4 sitting there calling for me. I have no intention of trading. But wow, that thing is beautiful!
But it sure sits high in the rear. Almost up to my shoulder, and I m 6'-4". My '07 also sat high in the rear and I had the 4" spacers replaced with 2" spacers. I like the way it now sits much better. And the Monty sits level when hooked.
I know there are a number of members who have bought new F350s the last year of so. Is the height a problem with the Monty behind?
Did I say how beautiful that thing is????

The height is not a problem I have a 2011 F350 King Ranch Golden Bronze Metallic. Long Bed FX4 and my Monty sets about 5 inches from the rail. I know about the feeling I got bitten several years ago on the King Ranch.

Oh my, I hear 6" is the magic number to use. 5" is cutting things close so keep an eye on things. My 2006 Monty has about 7" clearance on my 2006 Ford F-250 (F-350 rear end and tires).

The SRW is 2.1 inches taller than my DRW which seems tall! When hitched up it levels out just fine...

No problems here. When hitched it sets level. You are a strong man to resist the call of the 6.7. Mine is royal red with adobe accent, and "limited edition seats".

I have a 2011 F350 DRW and put air bags on it to raise the rear end just a little. I think the DRW'w sit lower than the SRW's. The pin weight on my loaded 3075 is about 3k lbs.

I think some (all) of the DRWs have 2" blocks under the axles where the SRWs have 4". Don't understand the reason for that.
Did I mention how great that truck looks!
But I am fighting it. Fighting it. ...... Slipping a little maybe.

We also added air bags on our 08 F-350 Dually. We did it to level out the truck and camper more not for any weight issue. We now run down the road ...level...

I have the exact truck you're talking about, except for the King Ranch, and I have no problem at all with mine.

No problems, and that 6.7 is a winner

I gave in to temptation and the new truck is sitting in the driveway. I did hook up to the Monty and it does sit a little nose high now. On the '07 it was just about level when hooked up and the jacks raised. With this one, it is over a bubble off.
I will try it for a while as is and decide whether to have the 4" blocks replaced with 2" as I did on the '07.

I know this stating the obvious, but if there is room and bolt pattern holes available on the king pin you could adjust the nose down without changing the truck. We had a 2010 F250 SRW with 20" tires and the Monty rode abit nose high, but not enough to make changes.
