It would be great to have a directional one for the bozos and bozettes so busy on the phone they don't have enough free hands to use turn signals. Ah, and what a way to stop texting underway.

Out to be a way to make cars that block cell calls except 911 while the vehicle is in motion.

They seem to have a limited range from what I read, especially from car to car with all the metal, might not even work, I dunno.. I'm full of questions with precious few answers.
To anything.

there was a news article a while ago that showed a technology that you could add to a phone that sensed movement in a car that would block calls in and out while the car was in motion. It replied with an auto response. But of course, the large corporations with deep pockets kept it from being approved for trials. You can guess who would be lobbying against that.I guess they haven't killed enough people yet.

If we are talking distractions while driving, let's outlaw conversations with others in the vehicle, sound systems, navagation systems, remove all satelite dishes from mobile equipment, no eating or drinking while vehicle is in motion. Where do you want to draw the line.

If he..or she.. is texting the operation procedures while driving down the road, it would be unfortunate...

In November, my dad suffered an anurism and was air evaced to the Arizona Heart Hospital, the surgeon was contacted by cell phone and arrived. at the helo pad same time as landing, unfortunately he died three days later. But because of that cell phone he had a chance.

True, but I could more easily be the bike rider he ran over by accident answering the call.
