Fantastic Fan Gasket

We now have three Fantastic Fans in your 05 2955RL. All of the fan lids want to stick when I want to open them. Two fans were added this year and the factory sent a new gasket for the OEM fan last summer.

Is there something I can put on the gaskets to help them let go of there lids? I have tried 303, and Vaseline is there something else?

Isn't there a free kit from the fan folks, I need one too. I smeared ??? something on the gasket, can't remember; but it didn't work.

This has been discussed before so do a search on this. DO NOT use petroleum based oils or grease on the gasket as it will deteriorate the gasket.

Ken, maybe the opening, or lid is warped, I would contact the factory and see what they say, I imagine they have thousands of them out there.

After I got the FIX from the factory, the seal worked good, so far. But, I had another problem with the little motor that raises the lid. Are you sure that it is working okay? Mine wasn't and the factory sent me a new one for free.(Not the fan motor - that is a separate motor) You might disconnect the little motor & arm the raises the lid. Then let the lid sit overnight. Try it in the morning and see if it is sticking to the seal. If it is still sticking, call them back for another kit.

Good luck.
