Jekyll or Savannah camp sites

Can anyone recommend a good camp ground near Jekyll or Savannah GA? We want a quick weekend test run.

Thank you!

If you don't mind driving just a little further up the road, Hilton Head Island Resort and Marina is real nice.

We enjoyed a stay at Skidaway Island State Park near Savannah. Access to the city was a pleasant drive. I would recommend it highly. -- especially if you prefer no-urban park such as state parks.

We used to camp at Skidaway every Thanksgiving. It's beautiful, in a natural way.

My signature pictures are from our shakedown trip, Hilton Head Island Resort & Marina, the week we picked our Monty. HHI Resort is beautiful in a more refined way. If you're a foodie, HHI has wonderful restaurants.

All depends on what you prefer, but I think they're both good choices.

We'll second that post. Short trip to Savannah. One warning if you are using a GPS look at the maps. don't try to go thur Savannah with the 5th wheel. It'll fit, but tight.

The most used state park I Sc is Hunting Island. You can camp right the beach or back in the woods. There are about 200 camp sites all with water and electric hook ups and several miles of beach. Nice.
