AT&T Elevate WiFi Hotspot ?

Our air card died 2 months ago and we bought a new AT&T Sierra Wireless air card. We are very close to a cell tower but every fourth or fifth click we have a 30 second to 2 minute delay and sometimes the "could not open the page" comes up. We just exchanged it for a AT&T Elevate hotspot WiFi unit and it is no better. Tried clearing my hard drive and reinstalled Windows XP Pro SP3 but still the same. Is AT&T wireless just getting slow and over loaded? Or do I have a problen with my computer, XP or Internet Explorer?

Don't know about overloaded, but in the last two campgrounds we've been in our Verizon seemed to work better than a neighbors AT&T. Could just be location.

We have had the Elevate card for 10 months. When it works, there is no speed problem. But, we have been near towns where I would think it would work and it didn't. By the same token, it has worked in areas that I would have thought service would not excist. Over all, I am pleaed with it. This month was the first time we have exceeded our 5 gig limit.

we had multiple freeze ups and other problems with our computers at home. found when I switched to mozilla firefox all problems disappeared. speed is better,no freeze ups, no dropping of internet. I know this is not your exact problem, but I would try switching to see how it helps. quick down load and you won't lose anything
