Have no idea if this is connected, or if it is just my connection, but today I seem to be having trouble loading threads. Several I cannot get to load if I click on the "page" number, one that is about 7 pages long, I clicked on the last page, nothing loads, as if Missing in Action?? So, I tried the first page, and that only loaded the very first post of the thread and nothing more.

Have not tried the search.

On Edit:: about 10 minutes later, of course, as SOON as I posted this, the above described troubles went away! Thanks for the fast fix!

If it happens again, please take a note of the time and post it here along with a description of the problem.

Backups and optimizations are run every Sunday so you should expect a little slowness.

Forumco Support, we really appreciate the way you continually work to improve things for us.

As for not showing something posted in the past hour, I don't recall ever using search to find something that new. I can use Active Topics for that and can change it to show active topics from yesterday, a week back, etc. I'm fine with not having them indexed for the past hour.

OK, having same situation, seems to be only in the AM. Yesterday AM it was around 9:04 AM, EDST. Same thing, click on a thread page, and nothing comes up.

Today, again, on hubbie's computer, again, same thing, time 8:10 AM EDST. Click on page of a thread, nothing, go back, click on another page number, nothing, go back, click on subject of the thread, and only the very first post comes up. He did eventually get the thread to load.

Thanks for a great Forum.

10:15 AM EDT
http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...splay.php?f=99
shows no posts under it.
yet http://montanaadministrator.forumco.....asp?CAT_ID=22 shows two topics listed. This is a locked topic;
text in last post is "MOC Members Numbers".
Again thanks for all your support.

Note: I see them as MOD but as real user they do not show up.

I was able to open that second link, the MOC members numbers, and as we all know, I am NOT a moderator!

Rambigsky can you post a screenshot of what you see as a normal user?

Mrs. Country Guy, do the problem always occur between the hour and 10 past ? i.e. 5:00pm to 5:10 or 6:00 to 6:10, etc. ?

It sorta seems that way, doesn't it, the time issue. I will keep a log going, and report in. It also only seems to be happening in the AM here.

Maybe my ISP needs it's AM coffee hit before MOC wakes up??

Thanks for all the trouble shooting, the users here sure appreciate when this runs smoothly, and we sure know when it is not! OH, yea, that is addiction speaking??

I emailed you four screen prints. As I stated mod was with IE and normal user is with Mozilla. I just logged in as MOD on Mozilla with the same problem the normal user has.
On the reverse side I just logged in as normal user on IE and it worked so - the problem seems to be isolated to Mozilla.
Other members have mentioned pages showing blank however I do not know which browser they are using.
Again - Thanks for your support.

The new search is active here now from the search link on the top right.

If you encounter problems the old search is available at search2.asp

I searched for J T and received no search words ignored.
I then searched for J T Stabilizers and had one hit again with J T ignored.

J T is the partial name for the stabilizers. I am guessing you have single letters ignored but it does limit the search. Just letting you know. Thanks for all your work.

Forumco Support,

John is correct, the "J T" is ignored and says so in the response. I tried using "Match exact phrase" and separately "Match exact keyword (Find "test", but not "testing")" and both times the "J T" was ignored.
If searcher is using "J T stabilizer" it shows the "J T" is ignored and you get 17 results for "stabilizer"

Single characters are always ignored, thats one of the downsides to a full text search. You would have to use the old search in this case or search for "stabilizer" as rogue pointed out. Also, you cannot search for noise words i.e. and, or, the, is, etc.
