As usual, only 3 Montanas at the show. 2955RL, 3075RL, 3400RL. They got a Big Sky in this week, but show was set up last Sunday, so it is not there. Of particular note: Del Camino RV is no longer the Montana dealer. RV America is now the metro area dealer. Del Camino does have a few Montys left in inventory for sale.

I talked to RV America over 2 weeks ago and they had a Big Sky 340 with the new paint to put into the show. I went out to Lakewood location to look at it . It was supposed to be a 10th ann. model. It was not. I was dissapointed. The sales crew is new to the line and didn't know what they had. I am finding that most sales people at all dealerships don't know their product line and even less about their compitition. They will tell you how well built but can't tell why or how they differ from SOB's. As a sales person myself I find that to be unprofessional. I always took pride in knowing everything about my field. I made many extra sales because I knew what I was doing and could pass that information to the customer so they could make an informed decision.

Hmmm - while at the show talking to the rep, picked up a little insight on why Del Camino is no longer a Montana Dealer. All the reasons you mentioned Jay D.

As far as I am concerned Del Camino RV got what they deserved. After taking a trailer in for service and being ripped off for about 1400.00 worth of stuff that was taken out of my unit while it was having some warranty issues taken care of. I was told by the owner that he would not take care of it as he had no insurance to cover it. He also had no sign in his service dept stating they were not responsible for things left in the trailer and I did not sign any kind of service paper. I felt he was responsible. I know a little about RV America and thats enough to keep me away. I guess thaat's why I went to Tarpley to buy the new 3485. Al

By the nature of your post, I assume this was recent?

I have sent you a PM as well.

Just got my sink covers in yesterday via UPS from Tarpley. No charge of course. The old ones didn't match the new counter top that was put in under warranty.

We went to a Montana/SOB dealer in the area, to look when we were thinking of our SOB. They act like they could care less if we bought anything or ordered anything. We went out of state to order our unit.
We should have known better, we went there before we purchased our Montana. We bought that out of state. Saved about $4,000 by doing that.

We noticed at the RV show this month here, that no one really knew anything about what they were selling.
Except a representative from a certain brand name factory.
